Just another random post.....

Photography Makes Me Feel Like This Guy

I STEAL TIME!

Winter Storm 09

I forgot the exact date of the snow storm, but sometime during the winter it snowed like crazy here in Louisville.
So when i woke up i decided to go out and shoot a little around my neighborhood.
Ive lived in Devonshire Apartments with my dad since I was five, when my parents got divorced. And over all these years, I've never gone out and shot pictures around my neighborhood for some reason. On this day i knew i should take full advantage of it.

At first I just walked around and took some landscapes and detail shots. I really wanted to find  a feature or something to tell a little more of the story, so i just hung around and waited. So what do ya know, out of no where i saw this couple, a mom and son, walking down the street holding hands. I took a few shots and then approached them to see if i could further take pictures of them and interview them. That was when i found out they where a hispanic couple and the mom spoke hardly any english. They were so awesome though. She accepted my request to take photos and was very friendly despite our language barrier. At first, when i would go to take a picture, the mom would grab Eva's hand, and stop him to pose.
I found this quite funny. I tried to explain to her that they didnt need to pose and we kept walking. She then went to tell me that it was her sons first snow and he is 6 years old.

Continuing our walking, we made our way to a bridge in my apartment complex. In order to make Eva more comfortable with me I showed him how to use my camera. He fell in love. Once i showed him how to use the shutter release he took full advantage of my motor drive. Hahaha. Lets just say he fired away. This day was overall a success. And it reminded me of the wonders in kids and how much fun photography really is. PEACE!

More Random Photos

These are a few more pictures Ive taken over past year at WKU and while at JCC.
Enjoy.

Thought this was interesting. The girl is just
like, " Hey look here!" The older lady is
 trying to be chipper.
"Okay Girls, now smile."
And you know the cheerleaders are just dreading the whole thing.
Forgive me. Lol. I have weird humor.

My Mom again.
